We are excited to announce a new resource coming to the Mansion this November! Bebashi, a nonprofit public health agency, is going to open a food pantry at Strawberry Mansion High School to provide food to students and families in need of supplemental resources.

Food will be distributed on the fourth Wednesday of every month between 2:00pm and 4:00pm beginning on NOVEMBER 25TH at the student entrance which is located in the rear of the building between Susquehanna Avenue and Dauphin Streets on 31st Street.

Some examples of food items that will be provided include: cereal, mac and cheese bowls, pop tarts, and oatmeal to name a few. We recommend for parents to pick up the food as bags are heavy and it may be difficult for students to carry.

Funding for the project is provided by a grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Human Services. We are required to provide data to the state for demographic purposes. The data collected will be used for research purposes only. It will remain confidential and does not affect any other benefits you may be receiving.

If you are interested in utilizing this resource, please complete this form and return it to the counselor, Ms. Sullivan, by November 1st, 2020. This way Bebashi can order the proper amount of food for distribution. You will only need to sign up for the program once. All distribution dates will be posted on the school’s website and social media platforms.
